during the late morning we catch at chinese movie (its rm12 here, compared to rm6 at Cathy cineplax) at TGV cinema, 1st avenue, the latest shopping mall in penang that's connected to Prangin Mall and Komtar (if u can find the connecting bridges) i just had to buy Rotiboy at the lower floor!
regardless of rain or shine, the afternoon had to be spent with cendol or ABC at the narrow alley of jalan keng kwee (again! )
went shopping for Him Heang, Jalan Burma! the queue was long waiting for the famous tau sar pheah / tambun biscuits and each person in front of me bought at least 6 and even up to 11 boxes! wow..
along the road, passing by the famous Penang Laksa at Jalan Pasar, Air Itam/ Ayer Hitam (however you spell it) at the corner near the Kek Lok Si temple signboard.. if you are up for nutmeg you can drop by Cheong Kim Chuan which is in the same row, just further in the middle
however we were more interested in the neighbouring shop, Choy Kee Confectionary, which has the buns with bak gua (barbequed dried pork squares) and even century eggs in it! interesting
dropping by the famous laksa in the open air at the round-a-bout next to a little garden and statue but it finishes by evening so we had tea time (yes, more food!) at Asia Cafe instead but we bought some food from the stalls opposite all the same
