Ikea

on Thurs we had 2 guests over, lpp and acs, who are staying here in London till they join James and Nick off to Germany on Tues... (which explains my lost in blogsphere for the weekend) ...

on Sat eric and i brought them to Ikea.. mainly coz eric wants to re-deco his room for a cool place to chill out with drinks and card games etc..

really like the stuff at ikea.. if i have a brand new house, gonna deco with modern furniture from Ikea..and IF i have the money as well.. meanwhile, little bits and pieces would have to do..

eric and i ended up spending 60pds of stuff...

notice the new carpet and pillows.. and the clock and shells on the wall from Cornwall.. eric relaxing in his room...

How about our guests? well.. the section they enjoyed most in Ikea is..

food section where we sat and ate b4 we started looking around.. thats Kotbullar or meatballs..

mental note: dont bring visitors/tourists to Furniture shops.. they wont enjoy it as much as you do..

Sometimes when we touch

Sometimes u feel, that u r surrounded by so many friends...

but sometimes, u feel all alone...

Sometimes u see, the answer is so clear in your face...

but sometimes, everything becomes totally blur again...

Sometimes u know, u r so sure about a decision you made...

but sometimes, u become confused all over again...

That explains why...

Sometimes i am happy...

but sometimes, life sucks...

Sometimes i want it all...

and sometimes, i don't want anything at all...

*wana see a miracle? Watch the song right till the end*

Vietnamese treat

I went out wit my good ol' friend last night to a Vietnamese restaurant, Huy Hoang in Fulham Broadway.

the yummy yummy food! From Clockwise:

Goi shredded crunchy vegetables in Classic Vinaigrette dressing with tofu (tastes like sweet vege salad, healthy somemore!)

Pho flat rice noodle in a light fragrant soup with chicken (deliciousss)

Shaking beef quick fried beef cubes on a bed of Vietnamese salad (love this one.. the beef is ok, not shaking though, but the gravy is gooooooooooood)

Chao tom prawn paste wrapped in sugar care (we ordered this thinking how the prawn was wrapped in the sugar cane, but in truth its the sugar cane that was IN the prawn..)

Salad, soup, etc etc.. just when i thought i had such a healthy meal, we just had to order this...

for dessert, Ice cream in Deep fried coconut.. its yummy too! coat the ice cream thinly with flour and coconut and deep fry, and the ice cream is still frozen..

It was a great meal, thanx so much for the treat!!!

Athens, Greece or KL, Malaysia? (Athens Part 2)

From Athens Part 1

Hmm.. Athens is really like KL, Malaysia in some sense..

this alley really look like any lorong in Malaysia.. trees planted randomly, outdoor kopitiams with big big umbrellas and parked motorbikes..

stray dogs lazing around under the hot sun...

and cats.. also lepaking around their home fences...

and the piles and piles and piles of GARBAGE.. (apparently the rubbish company on strike) they are EVERYWHERE.. how unsightly...

the 'Dilarang Membuang Sampah , Denda rm500' sign must be somewhere near..

some ACS fellow also go draw his name.. if not some fat lazy Penang boy, got what other ACS again...

ooooh.. seeing the symbols symbols that i couldnt read (and if i am lucky, there's an English Translation) Reminds me once again that i am not in msia but Greece..

Continuation at Athens Part 3

Athens Trip Part 1

Athens, Greece 15-17 March 2008

Best weather . Glorious Food . Great Company

looking through my 1.29G of photos+videos (and more pics from the other travellers) took me a while to think how to blog (thats the trouble with too many photos) ..

should i blog lawak + simple like Ski trip? or pictorial only like Amsterdam? thats the hassel for going for trips, need to blog about them after.. like writing up a report after a school trip

i just decided to blog grandmother-story-style like how those elderly patients who live to tell their tales of the 1930s when u are clarking their medical history..

Day 1: I must say, 1st day is purely travelling..

1hr to Gatwick in a taxi
3 hrs London-Athens in Easyjet
1hr in bus from airport to Central
1.5hr from central to Temple of Poisedon
1.5hrs back..

Funny no matter how much sitting/sleeping-in-chair time u have, u still have neck/back/body ache.. its even tiring to sleep!

once we checked in at our hotel, we were off to Temple of Poisedon, Suinon.. it costs €5.40 one way.. nice view along the way, although i slept most of the journey

we have arrived... just some mountains on the way up to the Temple..

the happy travellers at the Temple of Poisedon.. how do i know they are happy?

cause they all kept jumping for joy!!

Why?

the SUN of coz.. the weather is so niceeee.. and the timing was great as we caught the sunset as well.. we made some cute silhouettes too..

slowly and surely, my favourite thing in athens went to bed...

Greek Food! so what's on the menu? Grilled Octopus, Deep fried squid, kebab.. lots of cheese cheese cheese and everything coated in olive oil.. and the bottom two? Greek Yoghurt.. yes.. with honey and walnut and fruits.. like those at Sainsbury..

So thats Day 1.. will be back for more stories~
